The key is in the link. Everything after the # stays in the browser.
Your Mac seals what you share with a new key, uploads only the sealed file, and puts the key at the end of the link. The recipient’s browser opens it on their device.

Sent to our server. It says which sealed file to fetch, and nothing more.
After the #
The key that opens it. Browsers never send this part to a server, so it stays on the recipient’s device.
You choose how long.
1 hour, 1 day, 7 days or 30 days: 7 days unless you choose otherwise. Or make it open once, so the first browser to open it is the only one. When a link ends, its file is deleted, not hidden.
Your team’s name on every link.
On a team, every link the team makes wears its name, colour and logo, with a small “Made with Cappture” at the top. Owners and admins set it.
